Vien Phu green organic farm offers range of organic products HOASUAFOODS is grown and and produced in in a closed process. With an area 320 ha, adjacent region of U Minh Ha forest, an uncultivated widerness, Vien Phu green organic farm has all prerequisites for building organic farm to EU & USDA organic standards. HOASUAFOODS are grown in a zero-pollution fertile soil environment and the entire process of cultivation, harvesting, transpotation, storage, processing and packaging are in line with the organic requirements and standards, ensure clean and safety to consumers and environmental friendly. 

PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

The main principle of organic farming is issued by the Federation International Organic Agriculture IFOAM

Principles of health : Organic farming should maintain and enhance soil fertility , plant health , animal , human and planet is essential

Ecological principles : organic farming based on the activity cycle to help maintain eco-system operation

Equitable principles : organic farming build relationships to ensure the interests of life and ecological environment

Care principles : organic farming must be tightly controlled and have a responsibility to protect the health and happiness of the present generation , future generations and the environment .

Soil

An uncultivated widerness in U Minh Ha biosphere reserve, the soil is not only no remains of chemical contaminants and no chemical pesticides, ferilisers…but also full of active micro-organisms, organic substances due to long term accumulation of decomposed reeds, leaves…called peat. Seed

Must be selected and organic seeds, prohibit the use of generically Modified organism (GMO) seeds, completely pure from the Vietnamese specialty famous rice named Bird ‘s Hawk in combination with other exotic rice in the world by 100% natural way,that having the outstanding characteristics :

-Glycemex Index : low -medium

-High Nutrition:

•    High fiber
•    High iron
•    High antioxidants
•    Fatty acid,Omega 3, Omega 6.

Fertilizer

The source of organic fertilizer such as: bat guano, peat-based natural fertilizer,  bio-organic fertilizer imported from USA…

External environment

Adjacent region of U Minh Ha forest, 30 km away from Ca Mau city. Buffer zones are built around organic farms to avoid environmental pollution and contamination from non-organic farms. 

Water Source

Irrigation water must be from unpolluted sources, standard water quality measurement will be checked regularly, and the pH must be within standard parameter.  

Natural pest, weed & disease control

The using of chemical pesticides, herbicides, fungicide are prohibited in organic farming. Using natural ways such as ladybugs, insect light trap, duck, fish, weeding by hand …
